On September 12th at 10:03 pm Andrea Jaime tweeted, “105 fever I think I'm dying."

The Georgetown nursing student died three days later.

"It's just sad," a fellow student said. "Being a college student you don't expect someone to pass away like that. It's surreal."

The university released a statement saying, "this is difficult news for the many members of the Georgetown community who know Andrea. Please join us in remembering Andrea’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this time."

The Daily Dot reports the cause of death was meningitis.

The school has asked all students to make sure to wash their hands and be cautious, but no further action has been taken. Georgetown hospital is confirming the cause of death.
